Eraserheads: The Final Set
eraserheads (or eheads, for short), composed of Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Marcus Adoro, and Buddy Zabala, is a pinoy band that has revolutionized the OPM industry with their cool sounds and funny but very profound lyrics. me and my siblings grew up listening and singing along to their songs while my brother plays the guitar every afternoon every summer vacation, so i guess this makes this band special to my heart since it bonded all of us together. i’m certain that if you ask any filipino if they know and memorized at least one of their songs they’ll say yes (yes, even my mom and lil sister who wasn’t old enough yet that time).
why the last set? the band split (i can’t remember when) and the members pursued their own careers much to the disappointment of their fans..however, they had a reunion concert august last year but then ely, the vocalist, was not able to go through the second set and was rushed to the hospital (because of too much stress i guess, he went through an angioplasty procedure some months back and his mother passed away a few weeks before). i’m glad they decided to to another concert and boy! was it worth the heat that beats any sauna you have had in your life, standing til you can’t feel your legs anymore and enduring the crowd (and the concert king at our back who wants to dub ely hehe).
