Update
Last Holy Week, I was supposed to go to Bicol with my good friends Jules and Niño. We had this grand plan of taking the 14 hour train ride to Bicol. A good old fashioned road trip was the goal. Unfortunately, when we we called PNR to book tickets, we found out the last trip they had to Bicol was ages ago in 2006 and the farthest they go now is until Laguna.
So as not to waste our plans, we decided to just rediscover how Lent is spent on our hometown. I’m posting Jules’ entry here on our Late Lent series of posts for 3rd World Kids.
Enjoy!
I was so glad when I read it over at “IAmOnTheStreets.com“. Wow Philippines recently got an upgrade to Awesome Philippines.
The Philippines has so much good things to offer but not properly presented. One thing 3rdworldkids wanted was to write about and feature some of these awesome places and great experiences that one can discover here in our country, so we absolutely support this new effort to promote the Philippines as a world-class tourist-friendly vacation destination.~

This is from my dear, dear friend Ching (who gave me Emette) who shares my love for Ilocos Norte - it’s windmills, food and endless summers.
All photos are from Topy.
Oh and the adorable little muffin is Jacob.
