Boracay…yet again!
boracay, for me, is the most beautiful island in the Philippines, known for its coffee-creamer white sand (as i like to describe it), calm blue-green water, and night life that can rival that of puerto galera. i was fortunate to have a boyfriend that has a family hotel there (teehee) so i usually go there once a year.
last may 1-4, 2009 was my fourth trip to boracay, but i got to experience a lot of firsts:
1. rain!!!!!!!!
it was raining almost every night and the sun only shone for like half a day only, usually when its very early morning and i always miss it since i wake up late. this is the first time i experienced cloudy skies and hard rain for more than an hour in bora, but even that did not dampen my genkiness!
2. be there with lance’s family
it’s usually just his mom who’s there (since she’s the one managing the hotel) but this time his whole fam decided to take their labor day vacay there as well. some pics at the beach and the family dinner at obama resto (which but the way, have very yummy food and shakes!)
3. go with my (college) friends.
i usually go there with lance’s officemates so this is really the first time i have my closest friends with me. ^_ ^ had a blast, tho there are some “emo” times i dare not go into details here that i wished could have been avoided. lolx
4. experience night life in bora
ok, i know i’m really a loser. lolx…no, lance and i are just really home buddies and we don’t drink a lot, so we usually just have dinner then stay home, with or without companions. but then my friends are really party goers, so we had no choice but to go out. haha
we were able to get in for free at the GSM Summer Infusion party, where you can drink all you can using the cool shakers with lights they give you for only 350 pesos, thanks to the VP and other big bosses of Ginebra that were staying at our hotel. most of them got vodka-based drinks and i was the only one who the tequila one, but i couldn’t even finish half so they had to drink it too. hehe
5. go to crystal cove island
we did snorkeling but the waves were so big in those area we all got really dizzy so after 10mins, we just decided to explore the caves in crystal cove (with an entrance of 200pesos, which was 50 before, they really took advantage of the peak season). i didn’t really now what to expect, but boy there were a lot to see! the caves were small but really cool, since it’s high tide we had to swim a little to get to the second one hehe.
6. yellow cab, starbucks, isaw, and cerealicious
bora had yellow cab for a few years now, but now they also have starbucks and ceralicious too! (starbucks and yellow cab are in station 1, almost near the entrance of the mall, cerealicious is i guess at station 3 already) you can find isaw stands anywhere…i was ecstatic to find my favorite things already available in the island! woohoo! (angel ate cerealicious tho not me, i was eating isaw already when we stumbled upon it. lolx)
7. got ink done
i did braids last year, so this year i decided to get henna tattoos since my friends are all getting one (except lance, lolx) i wanted to have on on my calf but lance wanted one on my hand, so i did both hehe
hmm…i guess that’s it for now, still thinking of other firsts..i have yet to try skim boarding, para sailing and other stuff there. ^_^

love love the wings henna tattoo! ^_^
and this is definitely something new for me and I’ve been to boracay a few times already.

The cave is new for me. And the new establishments. Maybe it’s because I don’t usually explore when I’m there. Just always get myself a beer and a tan. hahahaa.
